Landscaping

Landscaping is managed by the Landscape Committee under the direction of the HOA Board of Directors. Brightview Landscaping Service contracts with the HOA to mow the lawns, as well as provide weed fertilizer and pest control.

Expectations for Landscaping Service
It is important for homeowners and residents to clearly understand what the Landscaping Service is responsible to complete.

Landscaping maintenance rotates throughout the year, focusing on seasonal-specific tasks.

Below are the specific tasks they will complete, according to the contract:

Regularly scheduled maintenance

Grass & turf maintenance
- Weekly March through October
- Every other week November through February
- Depending upon the weather
- Grass &Turf Maintenance includes mowing, edging curbs and beds as well as clean-up
- Grass & Turf are fertilized 5 x year
Landscape Beds
- Includes pruning, hedging, and weeding
- Includes annual mulching
- Beds are fertilized 3 x year
Palm Trees are pruned 2 x year
Irrigation is inspected monthly

Non-scheduled landscaping (scheduled as required and within budget)

Trimming shrubs
Weeding turf
Pest control of turf and shrubs
Maintaining 4’6’ border between grass/driveway and natural area
Lifting tree canopies at roadway and driveways

Other services directed by the Board:

Managing tropical storm damage and clean-up
Vine cutting (based on tree health and appearance to neighborhood) is spread out through the years because of high cost and original landscape bush replacements if they die

Owners maintain the trimming of trees on property for personal views

Trees and shrubs may not be trimmed in the natural areas. This is protected marshland.
