Architectural Guidelines

Architectural Guidelines are important for all of our homeowners and residents.  Our property and our home are investments, and with that, deserve exceptional maintenance and uniform presentation, for us and for future owners.

All changes to the exterior appearance of the Marshview home or common areas must be approved by the Board of Directors PRIOR to being initiated.  This includes changes to exterior colors and materials.

Painting and Colors
Painting or other appearance or refurbishment work performed on the exterior of Marshview buildings must be performed on the entire building as a single project - not just one townhome unit of a multiple-unit building.  The association may grant exceptions to this requirement in emergency situations, and such exceptions must be granted in advance of the work and must be requested and approved in writing.

Marshview-approved exterior colors must be used and maintained on all exterior surfaces.  The list of approved colors can be obtained here.

Structural Changes
All Marshview buildings should remain uniform in exterior appearance. Considerations for structural additions

Over the years Marshview’s Homeowners Association has approved minor exterior changes, such as screening or extending rear porches following established, compatible designs and materials.

Forms for requesting approval for a change, including the required submission information, may be obtained from Marshview’s management company.

Exterior architectural controls are covered by Article VIII and Article IX of the association’s Covenants and Restrictions.
